5 Star ReviewMy wife and I went to Adele’s at the suggestions of some friends. Their calamari was fantastic and the gumbo incredible- both in very large portions. The food was very affordable.

They have a GREAT selection on Abita beer (Nola) and a pretty good wine selection. We ended up eating four appetizers and split an entree and were stuffed to the brim. The highlight of the night was the owner, Mark, coming by to say hi to everyone and introduce himself. It was our first time and Mark stayed and talked with us for quite awhile.

They were hosting a large party, and had extra crawfish. He asked if we would like some and brought out a tray of 20+ crawfish on the house. This was not only for us, but did this for everyone in the restaurant. He even offered to make a special dish for me if I wanted (boudin balls). He later brought his wife with him (Adele herself) and introduced her to us. We made friends with the other tables, a very social environment. To top it off, there was a man playing on the piano throughout the night.

Absolute, incredible experience, and we will be back time and time again. I cannot suggest this place enough.

5 Star ReviewI have been wanting to eat here for months. My husband surprised me with reservations here for our 6 year anniversary. Signature dishes are the fried chicken and the country fried steak, which is what we ordered. The country fried steak comes with Vidalia onions gravy and a wedge salad. Literally the best thing ever. The fried chicken comes with your choice of side. My husband got Mac and cheese and it was delicious. The fried chicken was flavorful and tasted so fresh. I ordered a mint Mojito and they picked the mint fresh for the drink, it tasted so fresh.

For dessert we ordered the blonde with ice cream and pecans. Came in a skillet, it was just extremely hot and just didn’t taste as good because it was so hot.

The staff is very attentive and nice. They are always refilling and taking plates right when you finish or need it.

Would highly recommend.

They also give you your check in a southern literature book. And encourage you to write in it and make your mark.

Crab cakes and fried eggs

Today I enjoyed the brunch of Crab cakes and Fried eggs. Its easy to do fried eggs, not so true with crab cake. Too often they are gloppy with too much mayo or dry and over cooked. Thankfuly Roux hits it just right. Another nice surprise. When I asked for some toast, I thought they would bring a shingle of Wonder bread. Instead,. They served me a bowl of sliced toasted French bread.Luke S.

We had order of James River oysters and they were great. Must try are eggplants fries and beef style short rib! Oh wow! I was expecting plate of ribs but what we got was slow cooked beef off the rib. All nice and tender. I am not big fan of eggplant but eggplant fries were amazing. But everything fries is amazing. And speaking of amazing, Amazing Burger is just that. My girlfriend had Mahi and it was delicious. Great wine and scotch selection. Glass of nice chardonnay recommended by server and I had glass of black label JW. Overall great restaurant. Must try

5 Star ReviewHow do I even begin to express my love for Le Bistro? Sitting in the converted house on a bustling sector of downtown Roswell brings to mind old world charm and grace. My girlfriends and I went on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at 1pm and the restaurant was not busy at all. Located on the second floor above Roswell Provisions, we got a table in a dining room with lots of natural light. If the weather were warmer, we surely would have requested a patio table so we could take in the hustle and bustle of downtown Roswell from above.

Canton Street Restaurants - Le Bistro Strawberry Shortcake

Strawberry Shortcake

Service was amazing and attentive. The staff was completely tolerant of my group of friends who can sometimes get a little loud when excited. 🙂 We sampled a lot of things on their menu but our favorites dishes were the spinach vegetable quiche, croque Madame with fried egg on top, and the ham crepe. I absolutely could not get enough of their side of ratatouille but did not especially care for the French onion soup. It tasted too much like alcohol, which might be a bonus for others! The chicken salad sandwich would have been good except that it came on super toasted sourdough bread. I think if the bread was different, I would have liked it better. The BEST part about Le Bistro are their amazing desserts and coffee. Coffee comes out in adorable mugs and saucers and pairs so well with all their baked goods. The brownie sundae was delectable. Our favorite though? The strawberry shortcake. It was the perfect amount of sweetness paired with light airy whipped cream and vanilla bean ice cream. It really stood out because they use a pound cake variation instead of typical shortbread. I am still dreaming about his strawberry shortcake!!

5 Star ReviewWhere do I start? The location, the wine tasting room, THE WINE, the service, THE FOOD… all amazing. Was my first visit – but I was excited to go because Table & Main is a staple on my restaurant rotation – and it exceeded my expectations in every way.

Canton Street Restaurants - Osteria Mattone Risotto balls

Risotto balls

Went for a corporate event with 20 senior sales executives. We had our own “room” (wasn’t private as in there was a door, but was it’s own space) across from the tasting room. Our servers, Jordan, Kerry (sp?), and Emily welcomed us, and immediately ushered several of our wine connoisseurs into the tasting room where the owner, Ryan Pernice, assisted with the choice of wine for our group. We had a prix fixe menu, but the selections were almost the same as what’s on the normal menu – no skimpy choices – and it was all delicious. Highlights were the Suppli al Telefono and the Agnolotti di Oxo and the . The veal meatballs were delicious as well… but those risotto balls… are perfect.

I can’t say enough about the service – especially with a group this size. Our drinks were never empty, food came out in a timely manner, and they smiled the whole night. Chef Ted and Ryan have quite a gem here. WIll def be back! Thank you so much!!

Everything on the menu caused a some drooling before we ordered and just having a quick glance at everything coming out of the kitchen made the decision pretty difficult! I had the pork schnitzel with the gauntlet and my husband had the cuban. Holy cow were they good! The schnitzel sandwich was perfection! The gauntlet is this amazing board of all of their dipping sauces for the fries. There is a perfect curry sauce, honey mustard, ranch, sriracha mayo, and a few others that were delish! Service was great, food was great, drinks were great! Prices were on point. The decor was super fun and reminded my husband of being in Ireland. Highly recommend!!

5 Star ReviewSome things in life, you just know. For example, before I even walked in the door of the Little Alley Steak Restaurant & Bar, I knew what I was going to order. 12 year old Van Winkle Special Reserve. 18 Ounce, bone-in Ribeye. Brussels Sprouts. I also knew I was going to enjoy it.

What I didn’t know was just how popular this place was. Reservations definitely recommended, especially on the weekends. However, when it’s a party of one, walking in and sitting at the bar, is an option – with no wait, whatsoever. At least that was the case for me.

Canton Street Restaurants - Little Alley Steak 18oz Ribeye

18oz Ribeye

If you happen to sit at the bar, ask for Randi or Christen. They’re so friendly and nice and their service just added to the excellent experience I was having there with others at the bar.One thing a lot of people don’t know about me is that I love Brussels Sprouts. Especially when they’re cooked over an open flame. Add that to the steak I ordered medium rare, which it was served just as I asked, and it was one of those meals that I’ll never forget. The flavor of the beef and vegetables, mixed in with the whiskey – was yet another meal in the Atlanta area that I didn’t just eat – I savored every bite.

The dining area was pretty loud so don’t go expecting a nice quiet, intimate dinner. It’s a fun restaurant – not some snooty, mind your manners kind of place. In other words, my kind of place.

Good luck with street parking. Easiest to just valet park. It’s not free but definitely cheap compared to the cost of parking in Los Angeles.

5 Star ReviewMy husband and I visited Noca for dinner on Valentine’s Day. I must say, it was the best dining experience we have had since moving to Atlanta one year ago.

The atmosphere was cozy, although very crowded (understandably so). We were seated immediately and presented with a menu that offered a superb variety of food. I wanted to order the Pistachio Crusted Grouper, however, our server recommended the chef’s special, which was a Sea Bass over Au Gratin Sweet Potatoes. My husband ordered the 2nd chef’s special, which was a marinated filet with lobster tail.

Braised Pork Shoulder

The food was delightfully scrumptious! The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. The vegetables were delicious. My husband’s steak (which I wanted to devour) melted in my mouth and his delicately fried lobster tail was just as fresh and tender.Overall, the service was impeccable, the food was delicious and not overpriced, the atmosphere was romantic, and we had a fantastic evening.

I would definitely recommend this dining experience to anyone who has a picky tastebud like I do!

Canton Street Restaurants - Pastis Butternut Squash Ravioli

Butternut Squash Ravioli

We ate on the patio and kicked off a Sunday dinner with wine and a meat and cheese sampler that had a great variety of yumminess in each bite, well worth the the mid range price point. With 4 of us at the table we had a variety of food and everyone cleaned their plate. The trout was amazing, and frankly I didn’t think trout could actually be amazing. The salmon pastry puff (forgive me, I can’t remember the name) was also delicious, as was the steak.Personally, I was thrilled at the gluten-free options that weren’t on the menu and having a knowledgeable server who understood that gluten free wasn’t a choice for all and took my request seriously. Fellow Celiac’s people – there is a gold mine here! There was pre-dinner bread, gf pizza crusts and my pasta with shrimp & clams was wonderful!

We were too stuffed from dinner to order dessert, but our young diner had the lime sorbet to which he raved until his mom took it away since the three scoops was too large for him to eat in one sitting.

Definitely going back for dinner and can’t wait to try brunch!

5 Star ReviewStopped in here for lunch on my day exploring Georgia and was immediately drawn in by the name. I love pickles so it was only fitting that I ate here. The Fickle Pickle is located in Downtown Roswell and its got a really small town feel in a large suburban area. Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted by a very large pickle statue that I felt it was necessary to have a photo opportunity with it.

Canton Street Restaurants - Fickle Pickle Fried Green Tomatoes

The way it works here is you walk in and place your order at the counter and they bring the food out to you where ever you are sitting. They have indoor and outdoor seating, the front porch where I decided to park my toosh. I ordered a half order of fried pickles, the southwest shrimp salad, and a coors light. The fried pickles were delish and had a cajun seasoning to them that paired well with the creole remoulade sauce. The flavor left my mouth craving more and more. My salad was out of this world with crisp iceberg lettuce, cajun shrimp, corn and black bean salsa, creamy avocado, cheddar cheese, tortilla strips and paired with a chipotle ranch dressing that I opted our for blue cheese. The pairing of the spicy shrimp with the cool blue cheese was really refreshing.I really enjoyed coming here and experiencing the relaxing feel that comes over you while sitting and people watching from the front porch. Can’t wait to come back and try out some other menu items.

5 Star ReviewI’ve always been enamored with the tiny strip of restaurants and niche shops on Canton Street, but my experiences here in the past were usually something of bar crawls, and I can’t necessarily say that I’ve taken the time to really stop and try any of the places out. This small conundrum was alleviated on an unseasonably warm Saturday afternoon, when allegations of “some awesome fish and chips” were brought up to me.

So to those who aren’t aware, Canton Street is tiny, parking is difficult, and sometimes not free, depending on what time of the day you’re trying to dwell there, and it’s often times very crowded. There’s no secret about it, it’s a cozy area with quality dining, and a generally warm ambiance about the entire street for the most part. The takeaway from this paragraph is basically “parking’s going to be hard, and it’ll probably be crowded.”

Salt Factory is no exception to this statement. Thinking I’d just be past the lunch rush on a Saturday afternoon around 2-ish, I walked into a slammed establishment with every single table occupied; except for one that fortunately opened up as I entered, giving me a place to sit immediately.

The atmosphere and decor would very much be easily described as “rustic,” meaning there’s lots of wood, in the floors, tables, chairs and walls. It’s kind of like a tavern or an English pub, or maybe within the hull of a pirate ship or something, too. Either way, it’s definitely cozy, as the tables are crammed in there for maximum capacity, but overall it’s still a warm and neighborhood-y feeling kind of place.

Service was friendly, and I don’t really have anything more to say about it. It was good, to say the least.

Canton Street Restaurants - Salt Factory London Broil

London Broil

The food was excellent. For an appetizer, Louisiana eggrolls were ordered, and they were rich, hearty, and two of them simply did not feel like enough. I had ordered the chicken pot pie, while my date had the aforementioned fish and chips, and neither of us had anything to complain about. Like, chicken is a really forgiving meat, and often times it’s overcooked, because it’s safe, but Salt Factory’s chicken pot pie’s chicken was still conceivably juicy, despite it being in a piping hot creamy gravy; the entire dish as a whole exuded warmth and a comfort that it was well-made. It’s also served in like this miniature cauldron, which I totally dug.The fish and chips weren’t as positively received by my date, and I’d have to agree with her assessment; I’d still have to say the best fish and chips in the Metro Atlanta area are probably Brick Store Pub in Decatur, but we’re not talking about them.

Although I can read the prices on the menu just fine, things can add up pretty quickly here. Two beers, an appetizer and two entrees, and including tip, I was quickly down $65 for what was basically a late lunch. As much as I enjoyed it, it’s probably wouldn’t be a weekly excursion for my particular wallet.

But overall, I can’t really say anything bad otherwise about the place. The location is fantastic, the atmosphere is cozy and warm, the food that I had personally ordered was excellent, and the service was good. The menu had a few other things that had piqued my interest, but one can only put away so many entrees in one fell swoop.

I’ll be back here without question in the future.

We had dinner on a Friday; my wife had the catch of the day, which was cod wrapped in parchment paper and rosemary potatoes, and I had the stuffed pork and mac and pimento cheese. We also had a bottle of prosecco, that we ended up mixing with a homemade strawberry-lemonade (which was the perfect mix). The stuffed pork was very tender and flavorful, and the mac and pimento was the best mac&cheese ever! My wife was also very pleased with her gluten-free meal (maybe next time she will leave me some so I can try for myself!), which made our dinner experience a joy. This place is a really great spot to grab dinner in Roswell, the prices were good, the location is great, and the food was awesome (even the gluten-free entree!).

I’m vegetarian and there were plenty of options, pretty much all of the entrees could have tofu as an option for w protein but my Massaman Curry was so good u really didn’t even need the tofu. So savory and delicious, it has potatoes and other veggies in it I was very satisfied. My friend had the Pad Thai and added scallops but again it was so flavorful that hers could have done without the extra. For dessert I had sweet sticky rice with coconut custard. TO DIE FOR. OMG it was sweet, salty, tangy, just so delicious. I was sad when the flavor explosion in my mouth was over lol. I can’t wait to come back!

The most diverse restaurant on Canton Street, and in a tie for my favorite place to dine. Also great for that group of eclectic people that can never agree on what they want for dinner. Zest is a tapas and sushi bar (though they order it the other way) and an amazing one at that. Their small plates are heaven with plenty of custom creations nightly that really entice the palate.

Like the packed Canton Street area, this is a shotgun style establishment with a few tables out front, bar down the side, and small tables along the other. Draws a very strong business and well worth the wait.

Wayyyyy too many scrumptious items to simply list, I rather encourage you to try the place. Great wine and alcohol menus as well that pair very well with the cuisine.

Truly an upscale, standout of a restaurant and one of the best on the Canton strip. They know they are a restaurant foremost and take it seriously, unlike some of the other places that tend to be bars masquerading as restaurants.
